Vajrakandi Mathirai (VACHIRA KANDI MATHIRAI) is a traditional Siddha medicine, often a mercury-based formulation, used to treat chronic fevers, inflammatory diseases, and various complications like pneumonia and meningitis. It is documented in historical Siddha texts and was used by ancient practitioners for severe conditions, including fevers with multi-organ failure, chronic joint pain, and infected ulcers.

 Key Uses and Applications 
Fever and Inflammation:
It is a primary treatment for all types of fevers, including chronic, acute, and severe conditions, even those accompanied by multi-organ failure.
Infections:
The medicine has been used for infectious conditions such as pneumonia, meningitis (also called "moorchai vaayu" in Siddha), and infectious ulcers.
Joint and Autoimmune Disorders:
It is employed to treat severe joint pain and inflammation (mega kudaichchal), as well as small joint inflammation stemming from autoimmune issues (kanu vaatham).
Lymphatic Conditions:
Vajrakandi Mathirai is used for lymphomas in the groin area (araiyaappu) and around the neck (kanda maalai).
